Kodukkapuli/Kodikai(கொடிக்காய் பழம்)

Kodukkapuli Kodikai is known as Madras thorn or even Manila Tamarind. It’s called ‘Madras thorn’ but it’s not native to Madras, Kodukkapuli is also packed with nutritional value.

Season: January to April of every year

It constitutes vitamin E, a natural antioxidant, vitamin B1 which is important for nerve and brain functioning, helps convert energy from glucose, and is a good source of vitamin B2 which is important for healthy skin, hair, and nails.
